FRAMING & CONSERVATION
At McGowan Fine Art we know how carefully you have chosen a piece of art, and how important it is to know that it will last a long time. We use only conservation materials in the framing of your fine art and will help to answer questions you have about the care, preservation, and presentation of your piece. This same care extends to the framing of family photos or posters. Ask for recomendations on the most timeless presentation for your art work.
Our experienced and knowledgeable framers can do hand wrapped silk and linen mats, french matting, shadow boxes and more. The Munn line of handcarved and gilded frames will add an elegant finish to your special pieces. The framers at McGowan Fine Art are always able to find a solution for your unique framing problems.

If you have works on paper that have been damaged, either by accident or improper framing, our paper conservator can give you an estimate and options on her services. Her services include, but are not limited to: deacidifying paper, fixing tears, removing dirt and stains, repairing plaster and gilded frames, and removing inappropriate backings from artwork.
For your canvas pieces, we have a canvas restorer who will give a free proposal of options to guide you in choosing the best treatment for your damaged or dirty artwork. Her services. include: examination and analysis of painting, documentation of condition, and application of conservation techniques and materials.
